After Sunnyside, I went on to attend the University of Michigan and was graduated from Barnard College in 1961 with a degree in English literature.  I married during my last semester of college and immediately set up housekeeping and had three children. When my daughter, the youngest child, started first grade, I went back to school, first for a master’s degree, then for a PhD in psychology, followed by a certificate in psychoanalysis.

By the time Jennifer graduated from high school, I had my degree and soon became a licensed psychologist.  I was in private practice as a psychologist / analyst in Morris County NJ for over 20 years.  I found it to be both challenging and gratifying.  I retired several years ago to focus on my passion for creating art, as well as to have more time to spend with my six grandchildren. My life has been an interesting and rewarding journey.  It all began in Sunnyside and for that I am so grateful.
